Ultrastructural features of primary cancer and its metastases

Abstract

Mortality from metastatic lesions accounts for a significant proportion of oncological practice, and the issues of tumor chemoresistance and micrometastasis formation with the development of early recurrence are also important, which requires research and solution of these problems. Methods: The study used sectional material from the Pathology Department for ultrastructural examination of primary tumors and metastases, employing fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, and electron microscopy imaging techniques.
