Background: Hazardous alcohol use is a major risk factor for morbidity and mortality and contributes to a broad spectrum of conditions, including infectious diseases, cancers, neuropsychiatric disorders, and cardiovascular, hepatic, pancreatic, and metabolic disease. It is also linked to adverse social circumstances and behaviours that may harm others (e.g., accidents and violence). Robust screening instruments are needed to detect and characterise risky consumption early, particularly in high-demand training contexts such as medical education. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in a non-probabilistic sample of 229 medical students. Data were collected via online self-administered questionnaires.
