This study describes the validation process of a questionnaire developed based on a review of textbooks and previous research to assess primary school students’ ability to interpret statistical graphs in Chile. To evaluate content validity, the expert judgment method was employed, in which items were assessed according to criteria such as clarity, appropriateness, and relevance, and experts provided feedback. The Content Validity Coefficient (CVC) indicates that the instrument exhibits high validity. In terms of pertinence (CVC=0.99) and relevance (CVC=1.00), all items were considered adequate and representative of the assessed content. Regarding clarity (CVC=0.93), although an acceptable rating was obtained, it was the lowest value (0.80), suggesting the need to adjust the wording. At the end of the process, a questionnaire was developed designed to assess the ability of sixth-grade students in Chile to interpret statistical graphs.
