Impacto de los juegos tradicionales en el desarrollo socioemocional, cognitivo y cultural de la infancia: una revisión sistemática

Resumen

El presente artículo de revisión sistemática tuvo como objetivo analizar la evidencia científica publicada entre 2020 y 2025 sobre el impacto de los juegos tradicionales en el desarrollo infantil durante la primera infancia, enfocado en tres dimensiones fundamentales: cognitiva, cultural y socioemocional. Se seleccionaron 28 estudios empíricos de acceso abierto mediante criterios definidos de inclusión y exclusión, aplicados en las bases de datos Scopus, ScienceDirect, Redalyc y EBSCO. El análisis permitió identificar patrones comunes, enfoques emergentes y vacíos en la literatura científica. Los resultados indican que los juegos tradicionales favorecen el desarrollo cognitivo mediante la mejora del lenguaje, la memoria, la atención y el pensamiento lógico; fortalecen el desarrollo cultural a través de la transmisión de saberes ancestrales, prácticas comunitarias y valores identitarios; y contribuyen al desarrollo socioemocional al fomentar la empatía, la autorregulación emocional, la cooperación y el sentido de pertenencia. Asimismo, se evidencia entre las brechas de investigación, que los estudios solo estuvieron centrados en ciertas regiones geográficas y la falta de articulación entre las dimensiones analizadas. Se concluye que los juegos tradicionales son herramientas pedagógicas efectivas para promover un desarrollo infantil integral y deben ser integrados de forma sistemática en los programas educativos.
