Abstract

Abstract

In the following paper we study Etienne Gilson’s reading in regard to St. Thomas Aquinas’ topic known as the distinction between «esse» and «essentia», through which the theologian develops several considerations whereby its metaphysical consequences would give Aquinas' reflections the elements to build up a truly Christian philosophy.
