Time of therapeutic experience and secondary traumatic stress in psychologists dedicated to clinical practice

Objective: To determine the relationship between the time of therapeutic experience and secondary traumatic stress in psychologists dedicated to clinical practice in Colombia. Material and methods: Positivist paradigm, quantitative approach, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design. Information was collected through a personal data characterization questionnaire and the short compassion fatigue scale. The sample consisted of 108 psychologists dedicated to clinical practice whose ages ranged from 25 to 50 years old. Seventy-two percent were female, while 28 % were male.
