Resumen

Introduction: The Health Belief Model (HBM) is a conceptual framework used to predict a person’s health behavior, including maternal antenatal care (ANC). By consistently implementing ANC, we can reduce threats to the health of mothers, such as the risk of death. However, it’s important to remember that maternal decision-making is a complex process influenced by various factors. Psychological factors such as perceived benefits, barriers, and cues to action play an essential role in shaping maternal behavior. Objective: This study explores the relationship between the HBM and maternal behavior in carrying out ANC to prevent maternal mortality.
