Abstract

Cancer is a complex disease and numerous treatments have been proposed and used. The breakthrough has been the use of biological therapy with checkpoint inhibitors, decreasing tumor burden. The life expectancy of cancer patients has increased. However, the major problem refers to the high incidence of tumors in the elderly population most of which have comorbidities.
