Diseño de un Instrumento para Estimar la Calidad del Material Informativo Recuperado en Hipermedios

En el artículo se describen las etapas de construcción de un instrumento tipo lista de cotejo o checklist, con el cual se pretende estimar el nivel de calidad del material informativo recuperado en hipermedios. Se elaboró en el marco de una investigación sobre el efecto de los estilos de aprendizaje y el uso de estrategias metacognitivas en la calidad de la búsqueda de información en hipermedios en estudiantes universitarios. Se define calidad de la información recuperada en hipermedios como el conjunto de propiedades inherentes a un material informativo que permiten apreciarlo o valorarlo como igual, mejor o peor que los restantes de su especie, con base en las siguientes propiedades: identificación de la fuente informativa, autoridad del responsable o autor de la fuente, actualidad del material, exactitud de la fuente, cobertura de la información, profundidad y estilo del documento escrito. Se incluye tabla de especificaciones del instrumento. Se indica la importancia y utilidad del instrumento.
Abstract
This article describes the construction stages of a checklist instrument used to estimate the level of quality of the informative material recovered in hypermedia. It was created in the context of a research on the effects of learning styles and use of metacognitive strategies on the quality of informative material recovered by university students. Quality information recovered in hipermedia is defined as the group of properties inherent to informative material which allow to assess it as equal, better or worse than other material, based on the following properties: identification of the source, recognition of the author as an authority in the field, identification of the material as updated, accuracy of the source, scope of the information, depth and style of the written document. A chart with the specifications of the instrument is included, as well as a discussion of the importance and usefulness of the instrument.
