Abstract

Presenta los ensamblajes estructurales con capacidad de ser plegado y sus usos más comunes, para luego centrarse en las estructuras transformables de barras y sus requisitos de diseño. Sobre esa base se presenta el Proyecto ESTRAN 1, desarrollado en el IDEC-UCV, para la aplicación del concepto de estructuras transformables a un prototipo. Finalmente presenta los resultados de este proyecto de desarrollo tecnológico.

Licenciado en química (UCV, 1984). Master of science in arquitecture studies (Massachusetts Institute of Tecnology MIT, USA, 1987). Profesor Asociado. Área de investigación: Desarrollo Experimental de estructuras transformables, tensadas y textiles.
