Nomogramas de arteria umbilical, arteria cerebral media e índice cerebro placentario en gestantes de 20 - 40 semanas

Resumo

Objetivo: Diseñar curvas de ecografía doppler de referencia de la arteria umbilical, cerebral media e índice cerebro placentario para embarazos normales de 20 a 40 semanas en la población venezolana. Métodos: Estudio observacional, descriptivo y transversal que incluyó 630 gestantes con gestación de entre 20 y 40 semanas, con embarazo simple y edad gestacional conocida, a quienes se les realizó ecografía doppler para obtener el índice de pulsatilidad de las arterias umbilical y cerebral media y el índice cerebro placentario. Se construyeron tablas de normalidad por percentiles según la edad gestacional. Resultados: El valor medio del índice de pulsatilidad de la arteria umbilical fue 1,12 ± 0,19, y para la cerebral media se obtuvo 2,07 ± 0,31. En ambas, se observó una disminución de los valores a medida que progresaba la edad gestacional. El valor medio del índice cerebro placentario fue de 1,89 ± 0,19. Se observó un aumento de los valores a medida que progresa la edad gestacional hasta las 31-33 semanas. Conclusión: Se diseñaron tablas de normalidad con los percentiles 5,10,25,50,75,90,95, de arteria umbilical, arteria cerebral media e índice cerebro placentario en población venezolana.

Objective: To design reference Doppler ultrasound curves of the umbilical artery, middle brain and placental brain index for normal pregnancies of 20 to 40 weeks in the Venezuelan population. Methods: Observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study that included 630 pregnant women with gestation between 20 and 40 weeks, with simple pregnancy and known gestational age, who underwent Doppler ultrasound to obtain the pulsatility index of the umbilical and middle cerebral arteries and the placental brain index. Normality tables were constructed by percentiles according to gestational age. Results: The mean value of the pulsatility index of the umbilical artery was 1.12 ± 0.19, and for the middle cerebral artery index it was 2.07 ± 0.31. In both, a decrease in values was observed as gestational age progressed. The mean value of the placental brain index was 1.89 ± 0.19. An increase in values was observed as gestational age progresses to 31-33 weeks. Conclusion: Normality tables were designed with the 5th, 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, 90th, 95th percentiles, of the umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery and placental brain index in the Venezuelan population
