Abstract

En la región hiperendémica de “La Planta” en Guatire, Edo. Miranda, Venezuela, hemos encontrado que el 23,2% de los 56 pacientes tratados con una mezcla de promastigotes muertos por calor + BCG no muestran remisión clínica de la leishmaniasis cutánea.

In “La Planta” a hyperendemic zone for leishmaniasis in Guatire, Miranda State, Venezuela, we have found 23.2% individuals, without clinical remission of the disease in a group of 56 patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis treated with killed promastigotes+BCG.
