Abstract

Desde la identificación por técnicas de biología molecular, del virus de la hepatitis C (VHC) como el mayor agente causal de hepatitis no A- no B postransfusional, el desarrollo de estuches diagnósticos basados en proteínas recombinantes y péptidos sintéticos, ha reducido drásticamente la tasa de hepatitis postransfusionales.
