Abstract

La enfermedad de Parkinson se caracteriza por la pérdida progresiva e irreversible de neuronas en el ganglio basal y se manifiesta en alteraciones motoras. En Estados Unidos y Europa se ha observado que la incidencia de la enfermedad de Parkinson aumenta con la edad y es dos veces mayor en los varones.

Parkinson ́s disease is characterized by the progresive and irreversible lost of neurons in the basal ganglia and is apparent by its motor impairment. It has been observed in EE.UU and Europe that the incidence of Parkinson ́s disease increase with age and it is twice as great in the male.
