Abstract

Abstract

Following a survey of the major historical aspects of cloning, some ethical problems of human cloning are examined concerning medical, biological and social approaches. Parallels are established between cloning and biological research on human embryos, and some considerations are given as to the concept of human «dignity» and the right of scientific research as an expression of the human quest for knowledge. New and difficult responsabilices are posed on man by the new biological techniques.
