Abstract

Abstract

Competitive advantage & corporate reputation. Essay about the four properties of Jay B. Barney

It is proposed to determine whether as say the authors of “Corporate reputation as a strategic resource: a focus on resources and capabilities”, the reputation satisfies the four properties -valuable, rare, imperfectly imitable and difficult to replace- that, according to Jay B. Barney, every enterprise resource must meet to be potentially valid to reach competitive advantages. In this regard, we reviewed each property vis a vis the characteristics of the reputation and we found that the authors don't prove it.
