Industria de agroinsumos en la producción vegetal venezolana

Resumen

Este trabajo busca reflejar la evolución cronológica de la Industria de Agroinsumos en Venezuela a raíz de la llegada de la era petrolera, involucrando así tanto la industria de semillas, plaguicidas, como a la industria nacional de fertilizantes. Se hace énfasis en lo trascendental de la participación de emigrantes en el desarrollo de la misma. La conformación de gremios de este sector ha permitido mejor vinculación con los entes públicos y aportes al desarrollo del Sistema Agroalimentário Venezolano. Esta industria es el resultado de los modelos tecnológicos industriales que se adoptaron en el siglo XX, especialmente los surgidos de la “revolución verde” y es un sector que cumple con las legislaciones respectivas. Al mismo se incorpora recientemente la industria productora de insumos biológicos, basada en investigación científica nacional. La industria de agroinsumos en Venezuela se está viendo seriamente afectada, desde hace unos 4 años, por el comercio ilegal de productos que se practica cada vez más evidentemente, recrudeciéndose en este año 2022, poniendo en riesgo la inocuidad de los alimentos que llega al consumidor final.

Agro-inputs industry in Venezuelan plant production

ABSTRACT

This work seeks to reflect the chronological evolution of the Agro-Inputs Industry in Venezuela after the arrival of the oil era, involving both the seed and pesticide industries, as well as the national fertilizer industry. Emphasis is made on the importance of the participation of emigrants in its development. The formation of associations in this sector has allowed better linkage with public entities and contributions to the development of the Venezuelan Agri-Food System. This industry is the result of the industrial technological models adopted in the 20th century, especially those arising from the “green revolution”, and it is a sector that complies with the respective legislations. The biological inputs industry, based on national scientific research, has recently been incorporated to this sector. The agro-inputs industry in Venezuela has been seriously affected, for the last 4 years, by the illegal trade of products that is being practiced more and more evidently, intensifying in this year 2022, putting at risk the safety of the food that reaches the final consumer.
