Abstract

This study aims to analyze the different indicators, their scope, and evolution, which various international organizations have developed to standardize and monitor the progress in green innovation in the world. For this purpose, a bibliographic research technique was used to collect the relevant information published on green innovation and its related terms. Likewise, a content analysis technique was used to examine the different indicators and their respective trends. The research is framed within a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) that allowed the authors to analyze the information of the indicators based on their definitions, variation over time, and relevant trends. The results of this research are focused on the most important indicators defined by the main countries and regions and their most recent trends
