Abstract

El profesional de enfermería en su práctica, es responsable de realizar diferentes funciones, entre ellas: la asistencia, la docencia, la gestión y  la  investigación; esta última  hasta ahora, relegada  por las instituciones prestadoras de asistencia sanitaria y por la (el)  propia(o) enfermera(o) en consecuencia, poco exigida en la práctica, no obstante, el Consejo Internacional de Enfermeras, primera y más amplia organización internacional que agrupa a este colectivo de salud de todo el mundo la ha  reconocido como esencial
