Custodiar la memoria clínica: ética, ley y poesía en la guarda de las historias médicas

Resumen

La historia clínica representa mucho más que un registro técnico; es el testimonio narrativo de una vida en estado de vulnerabilidad. Su guarda y custodia implican un compromiso ético, legal y humano que exige respeto, confidencialidad y responsabilidad. Para analizar la importancia bioética, filosófica y normativa de la guarda y custodia de las historias clínicas en hospitales venezolanos, se realizó este estudio reflexivo y argumentativo basado en revisión documental, análisis normativo nacional e internacional, y diálogo interdisciplinario entre bioética narrativa, personalista, feminista y comunitarista. Se profundiza en los principios de autonomía, beneficencia, no maleficencia y justicia, y en la necesidad de construir historias clínicas con sensibilidad relacional. A las futuras generaciones de médicos se les exhorta a escribir con el alma, a custodiar con reverencia, y a comprender que cada dato clínico es una confesión confiada. Que la ética no sea solo norma, sino poesía encarnada en el acto médico.

The medical history represents much more than a technical record; it is the narrative testimony of a life in a state of vulnerability. Their custody and custody imply an ethical, legal and human commitment that demands respect, confidentiality and responsibility. To analyze the bioethical, philosophical and normative importance of the safekeeping and custody of medical records in Venezuelan hospitals, this reflective and argumentative study was carried out based on documentary review, national and international normative analysis, and interdisciplinary dialogue between narrative, personalist, feminist and communitarian bioethics. The principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence and justice are deepened, and the need to construct medical histories with relational sensitivity. Future generations of physicians are exhorted to write with their souls, to guard with reverence, and to understand that every clinical fact is a trusting confession. That ethics is not only a norm, but poetry embodied in the medical act.
