Rol de la auto medida de la presión arterial (AMPA) y monitorización ambulatoria de presión arterial (MAPA) en el control terapéutico de pacientes con diagnóstico de hipertensión arterial
Abstract
Introduction: high blood pressure (HBP) is one of the main risk factors for the development of cardiovascular disease (CVD), responsible for many morbidities in the world. The diagnosis and treatment of blood pressure (BP) is a critical issue, which is why, in recent years, new methods of BP measurement have been incorporated, such as ambulatory monitoring (ABPM) and home BP measurements (AMPA), which have a higher prognostic value than clinical office measures. Objective: to perform an analysis and measure the therapeutic rate of HN control by comparing self-measurement of blood pressure (SMBP) and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) in patients diagnosed with arterial hypertension. Methodology: the design is descriptive theoretical review type with a bibliographical documentary approach covering national and international literature. Conclusions: the use of these tools on a routine basis constitutes a challenge and main help for the doctor both for clinical evaluation and monitoring of the disease.
