Correlación radiográfica entre la desviación del eje mecánico femorotibial y la artrosis temprana de rodilla en adultos jóvenes y de mediana edad

Resumen

 Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la desviación del eje mecánico y la artrosis temprana de rodilla según la escala Kellgren-Lawrence (KL 1-2), en adultos jóvenes y de mediana edad. Métodos: estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo y observacional, de corte transversal, orientado a evaluar la correlación radiográfica entre la desviación del eje mecánico y los signos iniciales de artrosis de rodilla en adultos jóvenes y de mediana edad. La muestra fue no probabilística, por conveniencia; se evaluaron 72 pacientes (144 rodillas), con análisis de telerradiografías en carga para medir desviación del eje mecánico femorotibial y ángulo femorotibial mecánico (mFT/HKA). Se aplicaron correlación de Spearman, prueba de Chi-cuadrado y regresión logística binaria. Resultados: La desviación del eje mecánico femorotibial mostró correlación positiva moderada con artrosis (ρ = 0,414), mientras que mFT/HKA correlacionó negativamente (ρ = -0,387). El varo se asoció con mayor daño medial; edad y dolor fueron predictores significativos. Conclusión: La desviación mecánica, especialmente en varo, es un predictor clave de artrosis incipiente, subrayando la importancia de evaluar la alineación en el diagnóstico precoz.
