Variaciones en la irrigación de la región palmar profunda. Variations in blood supply to the deep palmar region.

Abstract

El arco palmar profundo resulta de la anastomosis de la arteria radial con la arteria palmar profunda a nivel de la celda palmar profunda. El objetivo de este estudio es describir las variaciones anatómicas de los ramos de este arco, ampliando así la información existente al respecto. En este trabajo, se disecaron 40 especímenes de fetos venezolanos entre 25 y 39 semanas de edad gestacional, previamente fijados en formol al 10% y para facilitar la observación de las arterias, los fetos fueron perfundidos con vinil rojo y luego cuidadosamente disecados, hallándose los siguientes resultados: A) En el 62,5% (25 casos) se observó la descripción clásica del arco, con el ramo profundo proveniente de la arteria ulnar y un ramo de la arteria radial; B) 32,5% (13 casos) dado principalmente por un ramo palmar profundo proveniente de la arteria ulnar; C) 5% (2 casos) por un ramo de la arterial radial con ausencia de la arteria palmar profunda. Financiamiento: CDC y H de la UCV 09.30.4583.2000 SUMMARY The deep palmar arch results from the anastomosis of the radial artery, to the deep palmar artery at the level of deep palmar cell. The aim of this study is to describe the anatomical variations of the branches arising from this arc. In the study, 40 Venezuelan fetuses were dissected, the gestational ages between 25 and 39 weeks, previously fixed in 10% formalin, and in order to facilitate observation of the arteries, the fetuses were perfused with red vinyl, and afterwards carefully dissected. The results: A) in 62.5% (25 cases) showed the classical description of the arc, with the deep branch from the ulnar artery and a branch from the radial artery, B) 32.5% (13 cases) mainly due to a deep palmar branch from the ulnar artery, and C) 5% (2 cases) by a branch of the radial artery with absence of deep palmar artery.
