Tratamientos dermocosméticos en pacientes con enfermedades autoinmunes del tejido conectivo.
Abstract
Autoimmune connective tissue diseases, such as morphea, systemic sclerosis, and chronic cutaneous lupus, are characterized by the presence of atrophy, fibrosis, telangiectasias, and hyperpigmentation. These cosmetic sequelae have a significant psychosocial impact on patients' lives. Consequently, dermocosmetic procedures have been developed to address each of these processes. These treatments must comply with the guidelines established by the American College of Rheumatology since the safety of these procedures in patients with collagen diseases is still under study. Given the potentially disfiguring cosmetic sequelae and their impact on quality of life, the development of reconstructive treatments for patients with autoimmune connective tissue diseases is essential.
