La ontocosmología platónica

Resumo

En este ensayo se discute la noción platónica de la tercera idea, en tanto elemento fundamental en la cosmología del filósofo ateniense. Se trata de investigar cuáles son las características de esa tercera ‘difícil’ y ‘oscura’ idea , de cuya respuesta creemos depende el que se pueda arrojar luces a la interrogante principal del diálogo Timeo, a saber, cuáles y cuántas son las ideas, admitidas por Platón como entidades elementales, con las que el Demiurgo construyó el universo.

Abstract: This paper discusses the Platonic notion of the third idea, while fun­damental in the cosmology of the Athenian philosopher. We have try to inves­tigate what are the characteristics of this third ‘hard’ and ‘dark’ idea, and we believe that the answer we give to this question will shed light on the central question of the dialogue Timaeus, namely, what, and how many ideas, supported by Plato as elementary entities, were those with which the Demiurge built the universe.
