DE TOTALIDAD E INFINITO A DE OTRO MODO DE SER: LA HUELLA

Abstract

Luego de plantear la importancia de tres artículos que Levinas escribió entre 1961, –fecha de la publicación de Totalidad e infinito–, y 1974, –fecha de la publicación de De otro modo que ser–, el siguiente artículo se concentra en el primero, La huella de lo otro, de 1963. Desde dicho artículo se evidencia un viraje terminológico importante del planteamiento levinasiano: la trascendencia del Rostro, abordada en Totalidad e infinito, abre al movimiento de la huella, que será extensamente abordado por Levinas en De otro modo que ser.

After set the importance out of three articles that Levinas wrote among 1961, - it dates of the publication of Totalité et infini-, and 1974, - it dates of the publication of Autrement qu’être-, the following article concentrates on the first one, La trace de l’autre, of 1963. From this article, an important terminological swerve of the levinasian position is evidenced: the transcendency of the Visage, approached in Totalité et infini, opens up to the movement of the trace that will be widely approached by Levinas in Autrement qu’être.
