Cáncer gástrico: factores pronósticos

Los factores pronósticos son variables referidas al paciente, al tumor y al tratamiento quirúrgico, que permiten predecir la evolución de la enfermedad. Objetivo: Describir los factores pronósticos para recaída tumoral y supervivencia en pacientes con diagnóstico de cáncer gástrico tratados en el Servicio de Cirugía de Vías Digestivas del Instituto de Oncología Luis Razetti, en Caracas en el periodo enero 2008 – diciembre 2021. Métodos: El estudio es retrospectivo de revisión de casos, descriptivo, transversal y observacional. Se calculó la media y desviación estándar en las variables cuantitativas, y se calculó la frecuencia y porcentaje para las variables cualitativas. Las curvas de sobrevida se construyeron usando el modelo de Kaplan-Meier. Resultados: Fueron evaluados 46 pacientes con cáncer gástrico. La edad promedio fue 58 ± 11 años. En el análisis de supervivencia global y libre de enfermedad, las variables estadísticamente significativas fueron: la invasión linfovascular, el tipo de resección, el tipo de disección y el número de ganglios afectados. Las variables significativas para recaída, fueron: la invasión linfovascular y el tipo de cirugía.
