Abstract

Abstract

The greek expression translated as Being qua Being. This serves as a starting point in the solution of some of the most difficult issues within aristotelian ontology, namely, the conception of Being both as not constituting a genera and as constituting the proper object of scientific knowledge. The understanding of ens as Being qua Being is readily complemented by the semantic theory of substance as a weak referential unit.
