ESTUDIO DE LA FICOFLORA MACROBENTÓNICA DE LA BAHÍA DE BOCA DEL RÍO, ISLA DE MARGARITA, VENEZUELA

RESUMEN
Se identificaron taxonómicamente 35 especies de macroalgas bénticas en la bahía de Boca del Río, Isla de Margarita, durante el año 2009, de las cuales 15 pertenecen al phylum Chlorophyta, cuatro a Heterokontophyta y 16 a Rhodophyta. Ceramium subtile se propone como nuevo registro para la costa venezolana y Parviphycus (Gelidiella) trinitatensis para el estado Nueva Esparta, Venezuela.

ABSTRACT
A total of 35 species of benthic macroalgae was taxonomically identified in the Boca del Río bay, Margarita Island, in 2009, which are distributed as follow: 15 bellowing to Chlorophyta, 4 to Heterokontophyta and 16 to Rhodophyta phyla. Ceramium subtile and Parviphycus (Gelidiella) trinitatensis are proposed as new records, the first one to Venezuelan coast, and the second to Nueva Esparta State coast, Venezuela.
