NOVEDADES EN SOLANACEAE PARA VENEZUELA

RESUMEN

Tres nuevos registros para la flora de Venezuela, pertenecientes al género Solanum subgénero Leptostemonum son presentados: Solanum accrescensStandl. et Morton y olanum erythrotrichum Fernald, ambas especies de la sección Erythrotrichum, y Solanum auctosepalum Rusby, de la sección Torva. Sobre la base del estudio morfológico de material depositado en los herbarios F, K, MO,MY, US, VEN y WIS se describen e ilustran las especies investigadas y además, se informa acerca de su distribución geográfica y hábitat. Se proporciona una clave para las especies registradas, incluyendo especies relacionadas por compartir la condición de cáliz acrescente.

ABSTRACT

A description of Solanum accrescens Standl. et Morton and Solanum erythrotrichum Fernald, of section Erythrotrichum, and Solanum auctosepalumRusby of section Torva, all belonging to subgenus Leptostemonum, is presented. They represent three new records for the Venezuelan Solanaceae. In order to decribe and illustrate the species, a morphological study was made, using the specimens deposited in the herbaria F, K, MO, MY, US,VEN and WIS. Information about their geographic distribution and habitat is also given. A key that includes the recorded species and related ones that have an accrescent calyx is also provided.
