Abstract

RESUMEN

Se describe Vochysia antioquiae, una nueva especie proveniente del Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia. V. antioquiae se caracteriza por tener un solo pétalo. Es muy afín a V. pacifica Cuatrec., y se diferencia de ésta principalmente en el largo del pecíolo, el número de flores de los cincinos y las dimensiones de las yemas florales más desarrolladas.

ABSTRACT

Vochysia antioquiae, a new species from the Department of Antioquia, Colombia, is described. It is characterized by having one petal. It is related to V. pacifica Cuatrec., but they can be separated on the basis of petiole size, number of flowers per cincinnus and size of the floral buds.
