| Abstract: | El concepto de “humor” está asociado a toda forma de expresión que se centra o realza
el lado gracioso o cómico de una situación en particular. También se refiere al estado
emocional que mantiene una persona durante cierto tiempo. El significado de humor como algo risueño o cómico puede resultar un concepto bastante subjetivo determinado
por elementos culturales, de edad o incluso raza. El Stand-Up Comedy, o comedia de
situación, es una forma de hacer humor que consiste en la expresión de ideas a través
del uso de la comicidad. A partir del año 2008 se vienen presentando en la ciudad de
Caracas diferentes rutinas de Stand-Up Comedy, una nueva camada de jóvenes
comediantes, influenciados por cultores del género como George Carlin, Lenny Bruce,
Robin Williams o Bill Hicks, han tomado los micrófonos de diferentes locales que se
han prestado para las exhibiciones de Stand-Up Comedy y han creado un nuevo nicho que representa una vertiente diferente de la comedia que se realiza en Venezuela. La
presente investigación tiene como objetivo exponer el auge del género del Stand-Up
Comedy en Venezuela, a través de un documental audiovisual, investigando sus inicios y su importancia como herramienta de crítica social. The concept of “humor” is linked to any form of expression centered on the comic side of a situation. It also refers to the emotional state that a person has during a certain time. The meaning of humor, as something cheerful of funny, could be a very subjective concept, determined by cultural factors, age and even race. Stand-up comedy is a way to make humor that consists in expressing ideas through the use of funniness. Since 2008, stand-up comedy routines have been growing in the city of Caracas, a new breed of young comedians, influenced by pioneers of this genre, such as George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, Robin Williams or Bill Hicks, have taken the microphones of different locals that have support the presentations and have created a new niche that represents a different side of the Venezuelan comedy. The objective of this investigation is to expound the growth of stand-up comedy in Venezuela, through a documentary, researching its beginnings and its importance as a tool to make social criticism. |
