Objective: To design the nomogram of the transverse diameter of the fetal thyroid in a group of patients with pregnancy between 18 and 36 weeks who attend the ultrasound consultation of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit of the Maternidad Concepción Palacios, in the period between July and December 2018. Methods: A prospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted. We included 266 patients between 18 and 36 weeks of gestation, who were measured the transverse diameter of the fetal thyroid and it was related to gestational age and fetal weight. Results: The mean transverse diameter of the fetal thyroid was 15.48 mm, with an absolute variability of 3.47 mm. It was found that the transverse diameter of the fetal thyroid increases, on average, by 0.535 mm per week of gestation (r = 0.845, r2 = 0.714, p =0.000). The transverse diameter of the fetal thyroid increases, on average, 0.004 mm for each gram of fetal weight (r = 0.885, r2 = 0.783, p = 0.000). Conclusions: The transverse diameter of the fetal thyroid increases with a linear tendency in relation to gestational age and estimated fetal weight. The nomograms obtained can be useful both for the screening of thyroid pathology in fetuses of patients without comorbidities and in the evaluation of pregnant women with thyroid disordersen_US
