A total of 91 children between three and twenty-four months of age, who had received the BCG vaccine in the neonatal period and who attended the Healthy Children clinic at the J.M. Children's Hospital, underwent the Mantoux Test. of the Rivers of Caracas. The average portion was low: 3,173 mm. 91% had a visible scar, however, 23% were resistant to tuberculin. Those who did not have a scar had no response to the test. A positive correlation was found between the scar and the test. In the present group there is a tendency to decrease the response with increasing age. It is observed that routine vaccination with B.C.G. at birth, it appears to have little effect on the diagnostic value of the Mantoux Test in infantsen_US
