El Ciberactivismo: Perspectivas conceptuales y debates sobre la movilización social y política

Abstract

Las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC), en especial Internet y las redes sociales han inaugurado nuevas formas de activismo, constituyéndose el ciberactivismo como una expresión de movilización y acción política. En este artículo, pretendemos aproximarnos a las diversas conceptualizaciones sobre ciberactivismo, a través de una revisión bibliográfica que exponga los principales planteamientos sobre estos tipos de activismos y las implicaciones para la participación sociopolítica. Finalmente, nos interesa realizar un abordaje crítico sobre la influencia real de las tecnologías en la movilización social y en las prácticas políticas, ya que el ciberactivismo representa otros preceptos para la organización, comunicación y el ejercicio de la política. Abstract The information and communication technologies (ICTs), especially Internet and social networks have opened new forms of activism, becoming cyberactivism as an expression of mobilization and political action. In this article, we want to come closer the different conceptualizations of cyberactivism, through a literature review that expose the main approaches to these types of activism and the implications for social and political participation. Finally, we want to make a critical approach on the real influence of technology on social mobilization and political practices, as cyberactivism represents other precepts for the organization, communication and exercise of politics.
