| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de este trabajo es exponer el manejo del paciente moribundo, de su familia y del equipo de salud que lo asiste. Sigue siendo una de las situaciones asistenciales más comprometedoras, complejas, difíciles y humanitarias en la medicina, en la que se realizan actividades que permitan paliar el dolor y la discapacidad en pacientes graves en una fase terminal, con la finalidad de que puedan afrontar la muerte sin dolor, sin sufrimiento y con dignidad, manejando la experiencia cercana a la muerte (ECM) que haya experimentado con sentido terapéutico. Asistir a la familia para la elaboración del duelo y ayudar al personal asistencial para mejorar la atención personalizada del paciente y evitar la astenia psicofísica (síndrome de burnout). | dc.description.sponsorship | The goal of this paper is to expose the management of the dying patient, his family and the health team that assists him. It continues to be one of the most compromising, complex, difficult, and humanitarian healthcare situations in medicine, in which activities are carried out to alleviate pain and disability in seriously ill patients in a terminal phase, so that they can face death without pain, without suffering and with dignity, managing the near-death experience (NDEs) that they have lived with therapeutic meaning. Assist the family in the elaboration of the grief and help the care personnel to improve the personalized attention of the patient and avoid psychophysical asthenia (burnout syndrome).
