| Abstract: | This paper presents a theoretical model based on the approaches of Cornelius Castoriadis and Antonio Gramsci. It deals with the relation-shios between social production of sense and discourse, understood in this context as a social practice which allows the colective creation, recreation and transmision of the imaginary mecanings. Finally, the model proposes the gramscian concept of hegemony as a concept that explains the manner in which "social imaginary" is created and imposed in non egalitarian societies where the exercise of power is asymmetrical and is grounded on power relationships. |
