| Abstract: | La lectura constituye un proceso fundamental que se debe desarrollar en la
escuela desde sus primeros niveles. Para ello, el docente debe implementar
estrategias que favorezcan el aprendizaje de esta destreza cognoscitiva,
garantizando al mismo tiempo el desarrollo del hábito lector y el gusto por la
lectura. En tal sentido, es importante que este proceso sea innovador y aproveche
los múltiples avances de la tecnología. En la presente investigación se describe
una propuesta de m-learning para la promoción de la lectura de cuentos infantiles
con niños y niñas de tercer grado del Colegio El Claret. Para ello, se desarrolló un
estudio exploratorio de campo, con la aplicación de un cuestionario diagnóstico
dirigido a los alumnos y al docente del grado a objeto de identificar las
necesidades y factibilidad. Este diagnóstico permitió determinar que la mayoría de
los alumnos lee adecuadamente, pero sólo algunos muestran deleite por la lectura
de cuentos infantiles. De igual manera, se confirmó la disponibilidad de equipos
móviles con acceso a internet por parte de los estudiantes, así como su
entusiasmo por participar en actividades innovadoras de lectura que incluyeran
estos dispositivos. Con base en estos resultados, se diseñó e implementó, a
manera de prueba piloto, la experiencia m-learning. Su valoración final por parte
de los alumnos que participaron y sus representantes dejó ver el agrado e interés
por seguir contando con este tipo de oportunidades innovadoras. Destaca en los
resultados la necesidad de propiciar la formación y sensibilización en los docentes
y representantes para que brinden a los niños y niñas un acompañamiento
adecuado durante el desarrollo de este tipo de actividades. SUMMARY Reading is a fundamental process that must be developed at the school since its early levels. To do this, teachers must implement strategies that promote this skill of cognitive learning, while ensuring the development of the reading habit and love for reading. In this meaning, it is important that this process be innovative and takes advantage the many advances in technology. The present investigation describes an approach to m-learning for promoting reading fairy tales in children of third grade at Claret School. To do this, an exploratory study field was developed with the application of a diagnostic questionnaire aimed at students and teachers of such grade to identify the needs and the feasibility. This diagnosis allowed to determine that the majority of pupils read adequately, but only some show delight by reading children's stories. Similarly, the availability of mobile computers with internet access to the students was confirmed, just like their enthusiasm for participating in innovative reading activities with these devices. Based on the results, it was designed and implemented, as a pilot test, the m-learning experience. Participating Students and their representatives’ final review was the liking and interest of continuing to have such innovative activities. The results show the need to form and sensibilize the teachers and representatives for them to give the children the adequate assistance in the development of these kinds of activities. |
