dc.descriptionTo characterize the respondents and explore the perception and the degree of knowledge of the general poblation of Caracas - Venezuela, about Alzheimer's disease in the period from August to September 2013. Methods: a field study where he will participate will conduct a nonrandom sample of 500 subjects of both sexes, residents of Greater Caracas, aged 18 and 88 years. Subsequently a descriptive and statistical analysis of data using measures of central incidence and spread of the data and chi-square distribution in order to compare the perception and knowledge among survey participants, using for this age will be performed, gender, education and profession.en_US
dc.description.abstractcaracterizar las personas encuestadas y explorar la percepción y el grado de conocimiento de la población general de Caracas-Venezuela, acerca de la enfermedad de Alzheimer, en el período Agosto-Septiembre 2013. Métodos: se realizará un estudio de campo donde participará una muestra no probabilística de 500 sujetos de ambos sexos, habitantes de la Gran Caracas, con edades entre 18 y 88 años. Posteriormente se realizará un análisis descriptivo y estadístico de los datos mediante medidas de incidencia central y de dispersión de los datos así como distribución de Chi cuadrado con la finalidad de comparar la percepción y el conocimiento que tienen los participantes encuestados, usando para ello su edad, sexo, escolaridad y profesión.en_US
