| Abstract: | Caracterizar la evolución de la diabetes mellitus tipo 2 en pacientes operados por obesidad mórbida con bypass gástrico. Método: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, tipo cohorte de pacientes con obesidad mórbida y diabetes mellitus tipo 2, sometidos a bypass gástrico considerando algunas variables pre y post operatorias, dentro de las más importantes se tienen:glicemia, insulina,tratamiento de la diabetes y hemoglobina glicosilada. Resultado: Se analizaron 30 pacientes sometidos a bypass gástrico laparoscópico, con antecedentes de diabetes mellitus tipo 2, un 80% de los pacientes intervenidos tuvieron remisión de la misma y un 20% mejoraron. Conclusiones: El bypass gástrico laparoscópico es un método eficaz, para el control de la diabetes mellitus tipo 2 a corto y mediano plazo |
| Description: | To characterize the evolution of type 2 diabetes mellitus in morbidly obese patients with gastric bypass. Methods:a descriptive study, type cohort of patients with morbid obesity , type 2 diabetes mellitus, and gastric bypass considering some pre and post operative variables, among the most important, glucose, insulin, diabetes and glycosylated hemoglobin. Results: 30 patients undergoing laparoscopic gastric bypass, with history of diabetes mellitus type 2, 80% of operated patients had remission and 20% were analyzed had improvement . Conclusions: The laparoscopic gastric bypass is an effective method for the control of diabetes mellitus type 2 in the short and median term |
