| Abstract: | Sediments of the top bottom of three reservoirs of the central north of Venezuela (Quebrada Seca, Lagartijo y La Pereza), were analyzed for establishing their environmental status and to compare their composition. According the results, the sediments of the three reservoirs are clays and limes, showing concentrations of the elements Co, Cr, Cu, Ni, Zn and organic carbon, higher than the values considered as base. Differences amongst the three reservoirs founded according the concentration of the major elements of sediments were attributed to the particular lithology where is situated each reservoir.
