| Abstract: | Una representación social se organiza alrededor de significados que son centrales, estables y consensuales respecto al grupo estudiado. Este artículo explora los significados asociados con la palabra-estímulo política por estudiantes venezolanos de educación superior, ubicados en la clase media y media baja. Se concluye que la representación sobre la política específica del grupo de estudiantes venezolanos de educación superior entrevistado está probablemente estructurada alrededor de las palabras corrupción, robo y mentira y desarticulada por completo de cualquier conducta o acción política. |
| Description: | The symbolic meanings that structure a social representation are central, stable and consensual with regards to the group subject to study. This paper explores the meanings associated with verbal-stimuli "politics" by middle-class Venezuelan university students. It may be concluded that, for Venezuelan university students, the social representation of politics is probably structured around the words corruption, theft and deceit and is completely detached from political action. |
