Diseño de un periódico deportivo para la UCV

Abstract

La Universidad Central de Venezuela cuenta con más de 40 disciplinas deportivas y diariamente se realizan un sin número de actividades, las cuales se desaprovechan ya que no existe un medio de divulgación que exponga este tipo de informaciones. Por tal motivo, proponemos crear un periódico deportivo que sea atractivo, moderno y de tamaño tabloide, donde el público meta son todos los ucevistas, pues éste proyecto pretende llegar a todos los rincones de la institución. El punto de partida del proyecto gráfico fue la encuesta realizada de forma directa e individual a estudiantes, atletas, empleados, obreros y profesores de todas las facultades, cuyo objetivo general consistió en determinar si había deficiencia en la información deportiva de la comunidad universitaria y sí para cubrir tal carencia hacía falta la presencia de una publicación. Deportivo Ucevista fue el nombre escogido para este periódico por más de la mitad de los encuestados. Consideramos que Deportivo es una palabra fácil de recordar, ya que de una u otra forma se relaciona con el medio informativo y junto a la expresión Ucevista, haría que los miembros de la comunidad universitaria se sientan identificados por ser éste emblema de la institución. Con la intención de crear dicho periódico con reglas y fundamentos bien definidos, se estableció la política editorial y el manual de diseño que hacen que el mismo tenga una personalidad propia y que se identifique con los requerimientos del lector. Se pretende que a través de esta publicación quincenal, los ucevistas cubran sus necesidades informativas, conozcan las disciplinas deportivas y sea una herramienta de difusión para los eventos competitivos de la UCV. En resumen, Deportivo Ucevista va dirigido a todas aquellas personas que van formando opinión en su quehacer diario donde combinan estudio y deporte. Por tal razón, este medio se adjudica un compromiso con el lector en relación con esta magnífica fusión entre academia y deporte.

The Central University of Venezuela counts on more than 40 sports disciplines, a large number of sports activities take place there everyday, but those activities are being wasted because there is not a promoting media which publishes this kind of information. Because of that, we are intended to create an attractive, modern and tabloid size sports newspaper in which the target is the “ucevista” comunity, in this projetc pretends to every corner of this institution. The projects starting point, graphicly speaking, was the poll made to students, athletes, employees, workers and theachers of every faculty in a direct and individual way. Its main objective was focused on finding out if there was any deficiency or lack of sports information regarding the university community and if it was necessary some kind of publication to cover such demand. Deportivo Ucevista was the name chosen by more than 50% of the people who answered the poll. We consider that Deportivo is an easy word to remember because one way or another it is related to the informative media, and this word together with the expression Ucevista would make that the university community members can feel identificated with this emblem, which represents the university. Whit the purpose of creating this newspaper whit rules and basis well defined, the editorial policy and the desing’smanual were used to make that this publication has its own personality and identifies itsself whit the reader’s requirements. What we look for through this publication it is that the “ucevistas” can cover its informative lack, that they get to know the sports disciplines and it be a spreading tool for competitions and events at the UCV. In summary, Deportivo Ucevista goes to all that people who are having their own opinion on this reason, this media (newspaper) takes over a compromise whit the reader in relation to this great fusion between academy and sport.
