ABSTRACT: Through the team work: student/professor (fundamental binary element of science) 26 medical papers were planned, made,
established and published at some Venezuelan scientific magazines, all of these articles were related with tropical medicine and infectious
diseases (there were made over the last five years): eight about clinical research, five about teaching update and thirteen about bibliographic
update. Twenty-one students from the regular tropical medicine course, nine professors from the Medicine Faculty and six Microbiology and
Parasitology bachelors from the ‘Hospital Universitario de Caracas’ and ‘Instituto de Medicina Tropical Félix Pifano’ participated in the
research. The goals are to narrate, to check, to evaluate and to analyze the experience of the tropical medicine professorship with the medicine
students for motivating clinical research and the organization and draft of the medical papers for their further publication. Those papers
are used as a bibliographic base for teaching tropical medicine at the “Luis Razetti” and “Jose Maria Vargas” medicine schools and in the
pediatrics and adult infectious diseases postgraduated courses at ‘Hospital Universitario de Caracas’.
