Parasitoides registrados en moscas blancas (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae) colectados en Venezuela durante el período 1991-2000
Abstract
While recognizing whiteflies (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae) on different host plants from Venezuela, we observed nymphs parasitized by several insect parasitoids. These were isolated in microvials until adult emergence, later transferred and mounted in Hoyer medium, identified and preserved in glass-slides. Voucher specimens are deposited in the Museum of the INIA-CENIAP in Maracay, Aragua State, Venezuela. Hymenopteran parasitoids were found to belong to several genera: Amitus (Platygastridae), Dirphys, Encarsia, Encarsiella, Eretmocerus (Aphelinidae) Entedononecremus (Eulophidae), Signiphora (Signiphoridae), Metaphycus and an unidentified Encyrtidae. Records include: Parasitized whiteflies, host plant, collectors, localities and date of collection.Downloads
