Proceso de revisión por pares

The Editorial Committee will assign the received article to a minimum of two members of the teaching and research staff, Directors and Coordinators of the postgraduate courses of the UCV Faculty of Medicine, or external evaluators (national or international), also being examined by specialists of the Editorial Committee, who will review the manuscript and issue recommendations as the case may be, as well as a verdict of acceptance, acceptance with modifications or rejection of the article. In case of disputes between the evaluators, it will be sent to a third evaluator. Any other aspect will be resolved by the editorial committee of the Journal.
The review process will be done anonymously (double blind), the experts will not know whose document it is, nor will the authors know which experts have evaluated their manuscripts.


The average time from receipt, including evaluation, to acceptance is approximately 4 months.

The average time from acceptance to publication is approximately 4 months.


Once the corrections have been sent to the author, if it takes more than two months to respond to the suggestions of the Editor or the Drafting Committee, the manuscript will be excluded from the publication process.
Once the corrections have been made at work, the author must send the modified manuscript in Microsoft Word via e-mail, offering details of the changes made.
