Abstract

Actually, the topic of hybridization is a constant in studies that seek to decipher the stylistic aspects of contemporary media, therefore, this article aims to describe the connection between two important cultural products: video clips and video games. To this end, the main aesthetic-narrative aspects of music videos have been described first and then - through the comparative method - to be able to decipher how the clip style influences video games, specifically in their kinematics or cut-scenes. We conclude that the formal aspects of clips: fragmentation, speed, chaos, among others, not only influence videogames and their kinematics in particular, but they are fundamental to the creation of a more seductive discourse.
