Abstract

ABSTRACT
Till then unknown, the poetic works of María Calcaño were reprinted in 1985, thirty years after her dead. Her poems were received and interpreted enthusiastically due to their erotic character. This article goes over topics and meanings other than the ones related to the erotic, proposing new readings for her poetry. Those topics include: a non erotic vision of intimacy, the unavoidable presence of death and a particular treatment of feminism.
