DILETANTISMO CRÍTICO: EDUARDO BLANCO, VANITAS VANITATUM Y LA CRÍTICA VENEZOLANA

Abstract

El siguiente artículo, el cual forma parte de un trabajo mayor sobre la narrativa de Eduardo Blanco, realiza algunas consideraciones sobre el modo en que la crítica literaria venezolana ha recibido sus trabajos. Indaga aspectos concernientes a la tradición crítica del país y al concepto estereotipado de literatura que se manejó en los últimos años del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX.

ABSTRAC
The following article, a part of a wider work about Eduardo Blanco's narrative, made some considerations about the way in which his work has been received by the literary critic in Venezuela. It investigates issues concerning the critical tradition of the country and the stereotyped concept of literature that was handled in the last years of the nineteenth and early twentieth century’s.
