Formative research competencies in initial teacher education

Resumen

RESUMEN
Este estudio revisa y analiza publicaciones sobre competencias de investigación formativa en la formación
inicial docente mediante una revisión sistemática bajo el protocolo PRISMA. Se incluyeron 30 artículos finales
indexados en Scopus, evidenciando la relevancia de integrar la investigación formativa en el diseño curricular
de los centros de formación docente. Los resultados resaltan su valor como alternativa curricular y
metodología pedagógica que fomenta la práctica investigativa, fortaleciendo el aprendizaje y el trabajo
académico en el aula y la comunidad.

ABSTRACT
This study systematically reviews and analyzes publications on formative research competencies in initial
teacher education following the PRISMA protocol. Thirty Scopus-indexed articles were included, highlighting
the relevance of integrating formative research into teacher education curricula. The findings underscore its
value as both a curricular alternative and a pedagogical methodology that fosters investigative practice,
enhancing learning, critical thinking, and academic engagement within classroom and community contexts.
